Crossift Kids and Teens in collaboration with Crossfit Beta at Alphafit in Milton, Cambridge

 

We run Crossfit classes for children and teenagers. These are fun classes, run by qualified Crossfit coaches with a wealth of experience in supporting young people.

The significant benefit of exercise to our physical and mental health is well established. Getting children and teenagers into enjoyable, sociable and sustainable exercise from a young age is a game changer, especially when its done in a healthy environment which promotes fun, support, self-compassion and a healthy attitude to our bodies.

Therapy is beneficial to many but other changes in our lives are often supportive. If you child or teenager is struggling with low mood, social anxiety, low confidence, body image difficulties or stress, this could be the difference.

Crossfit Kids

Crossfit Kids provides a fun, safe and supportive environment to introduce your child into moving well and enjoying exercise. Our team of trained coaches will use a series of exercise-based games to get your child running, carrying, pulling, pushing, throwing and lifting safely. They will get a chance to have a go at some basic body weight and gymnastic movements in a small class setting which allows us to provide support and feedback, while cheering them on. As with any Crossfit methodology, our focus is to have fun, move well, and foster a great community for building friendships, confidence, physical and emotional well-being. If you have any questions, or your child has particular needs you would like us to hold in mind, please reach out and we would be happy to talk it through with you. Classes will be 1 hour. You can sign up to a course of sessions run throughout the term time.


Crossfit Teens

With everything teenagers are trying to juggle, we firmly believe that the fun, social and supportive space which Crossfit Teens provides, can be a game changer for their physical and emotional health. Our team of trained coaches will introduce them to a variety of movements and skills from the basics of safe weight-lifting, to rowing and gymnastics movements such as pull ups. Every class will have some warm up games, a chance to practice a new skill, and a fun workout tackled as a group. Cheering each other on and celebrating their wins is a must! As part of our ethos, we will be supporting healthy attitudes towards exercise and self-care, body confidence, self compassion and looking out for others. The beauty of Crossfit is that it is suitable for all; we can offer a suitable option whatever their ability; the aim is to move well and enjoy themselves in the process. Classes will be 1 hour.
